Cancun - January 2010
January 22, 2010
It is early in the morning. Tina and I are having trouble sleeping as we are really excited about our trip to Mexico. In preparation for the trip we hit PetCo and got countless toys for Clifford, George and Jasper. Although since the doggies have picked their spot in the pack it should be George, Jasper and Clifford.
The doggies will be staying at the Canine Hilton. I am...full story |

Alpha George
March 6, 2010
Poor George our sweet boy broke his femur yesterday when he was pulled down the front porch steps. Jasper was tied to a lead so he wouldn't run into the street and when he saw a squirrel he took off after it. The lead wrapped around George's legs, pulling him backwards down the steps.
We took George to the hospital and they gave him morphine to ease his pain. The x-rays sh...full story |

Who needs that many walls?
October 15, 2009
The kitchen and living room were going to be separated from the addition by windows and doors. But as the addition took shape I realized that the space needed to be connected. This meant adjusting the wall that separated the two. So after some thought about it I began to remove the wall.
I am so happy with my decision. It really opens the house up and lets in a lot ...full story |

Sprinklers
Since I was trenching the backyard, I decided to trench and install sprinklers in the front yard. The trencher was like wrangling a bear, but I got it done. Here is a peak at the front yard.

95% to 99%
February 11, 2009
I was able to do a bit of work on the kitchen last weekend and the last two nights. The kitchen floor has a cracked tile by the bedroom which caused me to stall on the fix. I left it like that since it didn't really bother me too much.
I finally got around to patching it and finished the floor, including putting the sealer and gloss finish on top of it. I also finished t...full story |

Bathroom remodeling starts
September 6, 2006
Thank goodness for Google. I was able to find the information I needed to get the crown molding installed myself last night. I should have it finished in the next day or two (I have some sanding and painting to do). Once it and the ceiling are painted all that is needed is a mirror to adorn the wall.

Replumb the whole house?
February 7, 2007
Well I am now able to shower again. I removed the shower valve and cleaned it out. The water pressure to the shower is much better than it used to be. New plumbing definitely helps!!! I would recommend this job to anyone with an old house. The benefits far outway the pain and costs.
